I have a thing for rocks. Ever since I can remember. So when we get away anywhere invariably I come home with pounds of rocks. Some of them are wonderful specimens, but tiny and likely to get lost in the flowerpot dirt that usually becomes their destiny. But recently I gathered up the tiny collections from our trips to Drumheller, and Yellowknife. I enlarged pictures to 5'' by 5", and used shadowboxes to display the photos behind the mat, and the rocks in front. I could see this working with tiny seashells; guess we just have to go back to the ocean so I can do another.
The rock on top of the top picture is a polished geode I bought at a rock shop. I like it there.
