Rachel said this tastes like it should be eaten off a blue plastic dish with a clear lid. Not to knock its taste; but it was a staple salad for taking out to hungry farmers. Moist, savory, and easy to chew, it was always a hit on the farm. Today I made it with cranberries instead of raisins, and it was equally good.
There is no real recipe for this one; grate enough carrots, mix a bit of liquid honey with mayo or salad dressing, mix in raisins or dried cranberries and pretend you are "eating out", farm style.
