Passing it On

Well once upon a time I went to visit my friend Sandra who had a wonderful old fashioned coleus. Not the fat little numbers with the bloated leaves and price tags,  and that have the life expectancy of about 3 months.
I requested and received a generous cutting. I had that plant plus many generations from it for two or three years.

Then my plants died.  But I had given a piece to another friend who grew it too big for the space and gave it to her daughter who knew how to make a coleus happy.
So when I went hunting for another it came back to me lovely and bushy and ready to grow.
I am again knee deep in coleus and loving it.
See? One should always share. You just never know.
