Flower Holders

I made a number of these frosted jars with solar lights glued under the glass lid. And then there were all those nifty little stakes left over.

So I carefully filled the draining holes with candle wax. Note to self: work over newspaper next time. I tested them for water tight seal, adding a bit more as needed.

Then you can add cut flowers to something non blooming, such as this wandering ivy. One must remember to top up the water regularly as the reservoir is quite small.
